Granting Temporary Access to Hevo Support

Last updated on Sep 02, 2024

There may be times when the Hevo Support team needs to query your data to diagnose an issue that you may have raised. Further, the actual resolution may have to be carried out on the Source or Destination instance configured by you. For this, Hevo informs you of this requirement over the Support channel and explicitly seeks your consent to access your data.

At that time, you can grant temporary access to your instance and data to enable the Hevo Support team to proceed. The access automatically expires after 30 days. However, you can manually revoke the access sooner once the issue is resolved.

Note: You must be assigned the Team Administrator or Team Collaborator role in Hevo, to grant temporary access to Hevo Support.

To enable or revoke access:

  1. Click the drop-down next to your username in the User Info Panel.

  2. Click Team.

  3. In the left navigation pane, click Data & Privacy.

    Enable account access for Hevo

  4. The Account Access page, toggle the Give our Support Team access to your Hevo account option to enable or revoke access.

Viewing Access Requests and Approvals

You can search for completed and ongoing access requests and filter these based on the user who had approved or revoked access.

To do this, in the Account Access page, enter the first few characters of the user name in the search box and view the filtered results.

Filter access requests

Note: The user revoking access can be different from the one granting it.
