New and Changed Features

Pipelines

  • Limited Availability of Transformations Version History (Added in Release 2.25.2)

    • Effective Release 2.25.2, Hevo has updated the Transformations module to retain only the last five versions of the Transformation scripts and configuration. This change affects both Python code-based and Drag and Drop Transformations.

Sources

  • Updated Default Ingestion Frequency for Zendesk, Google Sheets, and Google Drive (Added in Release 2.25.2)

    • The default ingestion frequency for Pipelines created with the Zendesk, Google Sheets, and Google Drive Sources has been updated to 12 hours. This change helps manage resources effectively when high volumes of data are being ingested from these Sources.
  • Updated Historical Sync Duration for Mixpanel (Added in Release 2.25.3)

    • The historical sync duration for Mixpanel integrations is now limited to one year. Hevo can fetch the historical data only up to one year, as the Mixpanel API does not support retrieving data older than a year.

Hevo will migrate any existing Mixpanel Pipelines with the historical sync duration set to 2 Years or All Available Data to the new limit of one year.

  • Upgraded Zendesk as a Source

    • Enhanced the Zendesk integration to support a new version of the Source that uses a cursor-based pagination strategy, which is an improvement over the previous offset-based method.

As a part of the upgrade, Hevo has:

      • Added and removed support for some fields in the existing objects.

      • Added support for new objects.

We recommend that you upgrade your existing Pipelines created before Release 1.95 (August 2022) to the new Zendesk version by August 31, 2024, failing which the Pipelines will be paused. Please check for an email from Hevo if you have Pipelines with this Source.

Fixes and Improvements

Sources

  • Handling of Data Mismatch Issue in Outbrain (Fixed in Release 2.25.3)

    • Fixed an issue in Outbrain where the offset for historical load tasks was not set back to Null after polling the records for the day. This resulted in incorrect ingestion of data from the subsequent day, leading to a data mismatch between the Source and the Destination.
  • Improved Exception Handling in MySQL

    • Fixed an issue in MySQL BinLog integrations where some Pipelines were getting stuck due to previous exception-handling methods by Hevo. With this fix, Hevo now stops the polling process when these exceptions occur. This prevents the system from entering an infinite loop of trying to process data without addressing the underlying error.
