Error Message Text(s) - ‘{hostname}’ is an invalid SSH hostname. The SSH hostname must be the DNS hostname or an IP address accessible over the internet.

- Failed to create an SSH session with SSH host: {ssh_hostname} due to error: Connection is closed by foreign host.

- Failed to create SSH session with ssh host: {ssh_user}@{ssh_hostname} due to error: Timeout: socket is not established.

Potential Causes

  • Hevo is unable to connect to your database via an SSH tunnel. This typically occurs due to wrong SSH host or user credentials.

Suggested Actions

  • Verify that the SSH IP entered is correct.

  • Verify that the SSH port entered is correct.

  • Verify that the SSH user and password entered are correct.

  • Invite another team member with the required privileges to set up the Pipeline. Read Inviting and Moderating Team Members.
