New and Changed Features

Sources

  • Support for Impression Share Reports in Apple Search Ads

    • Added support for ingesting data for Impression Share Reports. This feature is applicable to all new Pipelines.

      Read Data Model.

User Experience

  • Introduced Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

    • RBAC brings advanced user management capabilities to Hevo. It empowers administrators to have finer control over user permissions and access rights across various features and functionalities within the system. This ensures that users have access only to the resources necessary for their job roles, improving security and data protection.

In RBAC, permissions can be defined per role level. This means that access to specific actions, modules, or data can be controlled based on role assignments.

      Read User Roles and Workspaces.

  • Introduced Mouseover Glossary Terms

    • Enhanced the content presentation to display a glossary term’s definition on the page itself when you hover your mouse over it. The terms are identifiable through a dotted underline. Now, you need not navigate away from the current page to learn about a term. This feature also allows you to understand a term in the relevant context.

The Glossary page too continues to be available.

      Glossary Mouseover

  • Introduced Interactive Infographics

    • Introduced an interactive Schema Mapper infographic as part of a pilot initiative to help users navigate through the documentation. It provides an alternative perspective on the contents of the section and allows you to quickly explore all the functionalities of the Schema Mapper. Each item in the infographic is a link you can click to access the related information.

Do click the YES icon at the bottom of the page if you want to see more such interactive illustrations in the documentation.

Fixes and Improvements

Sources

  • Improved User Assistance for Pipelines with PostgreSQL as a Source

    • Enhanced the integration to validate all configuration settings provided by the users during and post-Pipeline creation and alert them about any errors. This ensures that Pipelines are configured correctly and data is replicated seamlessly.

This change is applicable to PostgreSQL Pipelines created with the Logical Replication ingestion mode.

      PostgreSQL Config Error

  • Improved Validation Checks during Snowflake Destination Setup

    • Fixed a bug where some of the necessary permissions for loading required to load data into the your warehouse were not being validated at the time of configuring the Destination settings in Hevo. This was causing errors while loading the data for some users.
  • Support for AppsFlyer API Token V2

    • Enhanced the integration to use version 2 of the API token for fetching data from your AppsFlyer account. Effective August 31, 2023, AppsFlyer will stop supporting the API token V1. This change applies to both new and existing Pipelines. You need to update your existing Pipelines to use the V2 API token to avoid data ingestion failures.

Configure AppsFlyer Source with V2 Token

Read Obtaining the App ID and the API Token.
