Using Google Account Authentication

Hevo supports ingestion and loading for Google Workspace (formerly known as G-Suite) applications such as Google Sheets and Google Drive as well as Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-hosted services such as BigQuery.

To connect to these applications and services, you can use either of the following types of Google accounts:

  • User Account, or the OAuth method: A user account is associated with an individual user and gives you access to most Google products.

Note: Hevo does not support connecting via user accounts to the Google Drive and Google Sheets Sources.

  • Google Service Account: A service account is associated with a team rather than an individual. It uses a key to authenticate the connection, making it user-independent, thereby providing you better access control over the data.

Read Authentication for Google Workspace Applications and Authentication for GCP-Hosted Services to know how to connect your Workspace applications and GCP-hosted services to Hevo.
