Counting Sources for Billing

A Source is a unique instance of an application from where you want to ingest your data. For a database, it may be a DNS name or an IP address, while for third party APIs it may be a set of credentials or API keys.

For a given Source, Hevo allows you to move the entire data from an application without paying anything extra if the data is multi-tenant or logically separated.

The factors on which a source is uniquely identified vary for different source types. The following table lists the unique identifiers for each source type, as configured in Hevo:
